Our signature event is held at least once per year, twice a year on Presidential election and Gubernatorial election years. The first VEF is typically held in April and typically draws the candidates for office at the local level from the Sacramento Statistical Metropolitan Area (SMSA). The second VEF is usually held in September and draws the local, state and federal candidates. While no endorsements are made at these forums, the candidates are able to respond to issues raised by Latinos and to make their best case to the Latino community. They are completely nonpartisan and often draw candidates from all registered parties, i.e. Democrats, Republican, Green and Libertarian. If you want to be known in the Latino community of Sacramento, this is the place to make your mark.
Hello United Latino members and friends. As President of United Latinos-Promoviendo Accion Civica, I am looking forward to a productive 2014. 2014 is an election year, although there is no presidential election at the national level, our work as a civic organization is not any less important here in California. California has state elections coming up on Tuesday, June 3 for the Primary Election and on Tuesday November 4, for the General Election.
